Party Creation

When creating a party in Tag and Tally, whether in solo play or with a group there should always be connections.

Party Creation

Like all things in Tag and Tally a Party should have a sentence.

Party

Name is a [descriptor] [group type] who [does something collectively].

Descriptors should define a key personality trait or something about the character that is a basic essence of the character. This can be good or bad, it is your character.

Group type should define the type of group your party is -- a guild, a merry band, a mercenary group, hunting party etc.

Does Something collectively is what your group specializes in. This is a major defining action for your party. It can go hand in hand with the type, or it can be something completely off the wall and go against the types typical associations. This is what your party is known for or uses to their advantage.

The phrase should always start with a verb. While is, can or has are perfectly acceptable ways to start the sentence, try looking for action verbs instead.

Relationship

Each character during character creation must have at least one Personal Bond with at least one other character in the party.

Each other character in the party must have a secondary connection (at minimum) of: Acquaintance, Rival or Friend of a Friend.

You may have more than one Personal Bond with additional characters, it doesn't have to be just one.

Relationship Types

Personal Bond is a someone your character has a close personal relationship. They could be a friend, a family member, a mentor, someone who wronged you. This bond is partially why you are in the party. A Personal Bond eases your interactions by 2 with this character. (+2 mod for your character sheet)

An acquaintance is someone your character has met in the past. An Acquaintance tag eases your interactions by 1 with this character. (+1 mod for your character sheet)

A Rival is a character whith whom your character shares a rivalry with. A Rival tag hinders your interactions by 1 with this character.. (-1 mod for your character sheet)

A Friend of a Friend is a character whose shared history is one of a shared friend, family member, rival or some other relationship and you were introduced through this character. This character may be an NPC or a Party member. A Friend of a Friend tags does not modifiy your interactions with this character. (+0 mod for your character sheet)

History

Your relationship isn't just a label, it's a fact of your characters life. You need to create at least a 1 sentence summary of the relationship you have with each character.

Once you and the other characters have agreed on a relationship, now you can create a Shared Benefit. This is a tag that can be used when you are both in the same party and it relates to the action at hand.

Evolution of Bonds

As with character advancement some quests can alter the status of these bonds, changing the shared tag completely, or increasing its effective tier level. The Relationship type could also evolve, you could lose touch, or become rivals. All possible with in the real of the story.
