By accessing or using the Tag and Tally documentation, Discord bot, or app (collectively, the “Services”), you agree to the following Terms of Service.

If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

1. License & Ownership

  • Tag and Tally © 2025 is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International (CC BY-SA 4.0).
  • You are free to:
    • Share — copy and redistribute the material
    • Adapt — remix, transform, and build upon the material
  • Under the following conditions:
    • Attribution — You must give appropriate credit
    • ShareAlike — Any derivatives must use the same license

2. What This License Covers

The CC BY-SA 4.0 license applies to:

  • Game rules and mechanics
  • Written documentation
  • Tables, tags, and system text
  • Public-facing bot responses
  • App content that reproduces system text

The license does not grant ownership of the Tag and Tally name, logo, or branding.

3. Trademarks & Branding

  • “Tag and Tally” and associated logos or branding are not licensed under Creative Commons.
  • You may reference the project by name for attribution or compatibility.
  • You may not imply endorsement, sponsorship, or official status without permission.

4. User-Generated Content

If you submit content through the Discord bot, app, or community spaces:

  • You retain ownership of your content.
  • You grant Tag and Tally a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and process that content solely to operate the Services.
  • You are responsible for ensuring your content does not violate laws or third-party rights.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Services for harassment, hate speech, or illegal activity
  • Attempt to exploit, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the bot or app
  • Misrepresent Tag and Tally content as proprietary or exclusively yours

6. Availability & Changes

  • The Services are provided “as is” with no guarantee of uptime or continued availability.
  • Features, rules, or implementations may change at any time.
  • Updates to these Terms may be made periodically; continued use constitutes acceptance.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including:

  • Fitness for a particular purpose
  • Accuracy or completeness
  • Non-infringement

Use at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Tag and Tally shall not be liable for damages arising from use or inability to use the Services.
  • This includes data loss, downtime, or gameplay disputes.

9. Termination

Access to the Services may be suspended or terminated at any time for violations of these Terms or applicable laws.
